The Main Inn

The Bark Eater InnThe Bark Eater Inn

Our 150-year-old farmhouse has a comfortable and inviting atmosphere, with three spacious common rooms and two fireplaces. There are seven bedrooms with shared baths. Our screened-in front porch and open wood deck offer comfortable places to sit, sip coffee, and take in our spectacular view of the surrounding mountains.

An authentic old farmhouse (with a few updates), the main inn retains its rustic country charm. The rooms may be a bit small and the bathrooms shared, but there are benefits—such as a sense of stagecoach-era history and the convenience of walking downstairs for your morning breakfast or upstairs to bed after a warm evening in front of the fireplace.

The Carriage House

Our Carriage House, a few steps across the lawn from the main inn, was once an actual storage house for the stagecoach and guest carriages. It now offers four bedrooms with private baths, one with a private deck.

The Log Cottage

A hand-hewn log cottage deep in the woods nearby is ideal for families and groups. It offers two three-bedroom suites (each with a living room and bathroom) and two additional rooms with private baths. It is perched on a hill above the inn, a short walk or drive through the quiet woodland setting. The Log Cottage is almost astride the ski and riding trails.

High Country
