Event Locations
backyard
The back lawn of the inn is ideal for your ceremony or event tent for groups under 50 with views overlooking the meadows and mountains, yet close to the inn, gardens, & parking. A fire pit is also available next to our maple sugar shack.
wedding knoll
Behind the inn we have mowed pathways through flowering meadows, leading to a clearing atop a knoll overlooking the pond with a great view of Sentinel Mountain. There is also a lilac grove for the bride to hide from view, making this the ideal place for ceremonies.
polo field
Our former polo field is still maintained to offer an expansive 360° views of the High Peaks. This is a stunning location for both a ceremony and reception, or rehearsal dinner. Parties with over 50 people must hold their reception on the polo field.
formal garden
Our quarter acre garden with gazebo is the perfect place for small parties to mingle. Ideal for a cocktail hour, wandering while you take a break from getting down on the dance floor, and most especially for photos on your special day.
Yurt & Pond
Just a 10-minute walk through flowering meadows, or a brief drive down a dirt road, we have a newly constructed yurt next to a gorgeous pond. This is available for an additional charge for rehearsal dinners or small ceremonies. We also have a fire pit right by the waters edge.
the high peaks
In addition to hosting elopements and micro weddings on site, we are a great base for getting out onto the trails for a mountaintop or lakeside ceremony with just the two of you and an officiant or a couple of special guests. Of course, if you want a big party at the inn afterwards, we can help with that too!
Lodging
One of the most magical parts of Bark Eater wedding is the ability to gather your nearest and dearest together on site for the whole weekend. Our inn and cabins can accommodate up to 20 overnight guests, and we’ll cook up a big farm-to-table breakfast for everyone each morning. We require a property takeover for our weddings, which can be covered by the couple or the guests individually.
Event Coordination &
Officiating Services
You are welcome to use officiants, planners and coordinators of your choice, but if you need assistance, our hostess Meghan Kirkpatrick offers her services as both an experienced officiant and a day-of-coordinator to ensure your event runs seamlessly and keep your planning process streamlined. Find more details on Meghan’s services below.
Pricing & Vendors
The total costs for weddings varies based on the size of your reception. The venue fee pricing for prime weekends is $3,500 for under 50 people, $5000 for 51-100 people, and $6500 for 101-150 people. This does not include accommodations. (We do host micro weddings for under 20 people and ceremony only events on weekdays & off-peak season for less, so please reach out!)
We provide the setting with incredible High Peak views. Tent & furnishing rentals, catering, bar service, shuttle services, photography, & planning services are up to your discretion to be booked directly, but we are happy to point you in the right direction with our preferred vendor list!
